Warren Burkholder is a highly qualified business appraiser and expert in business value of small and midsize privately held companies. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, on graduation served as an infantry officer in the US Army, before joining Procter & Gamble as a department manager in manufacturing of detergents and chemicals. These experiences led to him becoming a division president of several different operating divisions of major international companies including Cadbury Schweppes, Standard Brands, and American Safety Razor. He has owned and operated his own chocolate confectionary company with over 100 employees and 50 franchise retail stores. He has brokered the sale of over 100 companies as a business broker and appraised over a 1,000 closely held businesses for taxes, disputes, or transfer of ownership in the last 30+ years. While a member and chair of the International Business Brokers Education Committee he authored or coauthored eight courses covering 72 hours of class time credits for certification as a business broker. These courses were primarily focused on valuation issues. He has taught these and other courses accumulating over 700 classroom hours as an instructor for both the IBBA and the Institute. of Business Appraisers. He was a qualification reviewer for the Institute of Business Appraisers and a co-chair of its Qualification Review Committee for five years, as well as a member of the Institute’s Governing Board. He was later elected a Director and Board Member of the international Business Brokers Association and subsequently selected by that Board as Association’s Board Chair in 2018.
In the last five years he has focused his work on training and staff development with FP Transitions as well as continuing his work for individual clients seeking expert opinions in valuation of financial service businesses focused on the investment advisory and insurance agency sectors.
NEVRG, Inc. an Oregon Corporation is the successor of New England Venture Resource Group, Inc. that was organized by Warren Burkholder in 1999 to acquire the assets of Merrimack Business Brokers, Inc. The company provided consulting services to its clients in acquisition and or disposition of privately held businesses. The company’s services included brokerage, valuations, startups, and optimization of operations, primarily located in the New England. Its offices were located in North Andover Massachusetts.
In 2007 Merrimack Business Appraisers LLC was formed to provide business valuation, appraisal review, litigation support, and consulting services in a partnership with Louis Pereira. In 2014 Warren Burkholder relocated from Andover, Massachusetts to Portland, Oregon and retired from Merrimack in 2015.

Since that time, the business primarily focused on business appraisal and review services, for litigation and tax purposes, in the financial services sector.
